Wenona Thompson served two and a half years in Illinois' Juvenile Justice system and went on to become the Coordinator for Girl Talk, a program for girls at Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. Wenona died on February 23, 2008 at the age of 32. She is survived by two children.
