Judy Harden


Bio

Judy Harden, Ph.D., a psychologist and educator, has studied, taught, and worked with criminal justice issues and women in prison in particular for the past 10 years. She co-developed the Vermont Women’s Prison Project, which works with currently and formerly incarcerated women to document the stories of their lives, to counter stereotypes of who is in prison and why, and to provide a base for connection between the women and their communities. She currently is part of an advocacy group called Unruly women. She is the co-editor of “Breaking the Rules: Women in Prison and Feminist Therapy.”
